Forage Sorghum
PCS 1010:
- Requires 33% less water than corn.
- Potential to equal or exceed corn silage in milk production.
- 90 - 95 days from emergence to harvest allows for a one cut system of quality forage.
- Harvest PCS 1010 two weeks after flowering. The seed should be in the soft dough stage at harvest.
- Earlier harvest will have a higher forage protein and as it matures the energy will increase.
- Shorter days to harvest allow for fall planting of forage or cover crops.
